S-Troupe Year Four - 2008/2009
Jessica Barajas - Year Four was Ms. Barajas’s first year in S-Troupe, and she couldn’t be happier about joining a group that doesn’t require fundraising and does have an endless supply of worthy snacks. Ms. Barajas is an editor of Cibola’s Literary Magazine and a member of Operation Smile. She is going to work hard putting her acting and writing skills to good use, while actually enjoying it too!
Soraya Baraque - Ms. Baraque joined S-Troupe in its third year as a sophomore at Cibola High School and was also involved in orchestra and drama. In Year Four, she enjoyed being a veteran in another fun-filled year in the Troupe. Even though she was no longer be called first in roll call, Ms. Baraque still gave S-Troupe her very best.
Rustyn Brandt - Mr. Brandt is a three-year alumnus of S-Troupe. Joining the year following the Troupe’s founding, he broke his 100 sketch mark in 2009. During Year Three, Mr. Brandt ventured deeply into the physical aspects of comedy and hoped to branch out and avoid himself some pain. Also active in the drama department at Cibola High School, Mr. Brandt will be setting those ambitions aside to dedicate his free time to the Troupe, saying, “There’s a Cibola drama department? I had no idea…”
Shelton Caldwell - Mr. Caldwell couldn’t wait for Year Four’s first show at the Joan Kent Theater. He joined S-Troupe in Year Three as a junior at the always wonderful Cibola High School. Mr. Caldwell was part of both summer shoot and screens as well as many favorites, such as Wok it Out, Deer Men, and The Baby. When not in C-8, you could find Mr. Caldwell in the sports medicine training office or at a meeting for Cibola’s Operation Smile. He was proud to announce that he had joined the staff of Cibola’s Literary Magazine as well.
Chelsea Davis - Ms. Davis joined S-Troupe as a junior at Cibola High School. She is original, celebrated, and curiously strong, just like Altoids. Ms. Davis is eager to write as many sketches as she possibly can and hopes to put smiles on everyone’s faces. Though she is also involved with Cibola’s band, Ms. Davis’s heart and soul belong to S-Troupe.
Logan Disch - Mr. Disch is currently a senior at Cibola, and Year Four marked his first with the Troupe. He is really excited to act, write, and learn as a member of the Troupe, and hopes to be involved as much as possible. Mr. Disch is also a member of Cibola’s Senate, Operation Smile, and the Spanish National Honor Society.
Jordan Geisling
Patrick Gozur - Joining in Year Three, Mr. Gozur is going on his third year in S-Troupe. He is very excited for the new year and hopes, though it will be difficult, to top what was a very successful previous year. Deemed “The New Quinn,” Mr. Gozur plans to bring his best performances, as well as writing, to the Troupe. He also looks forward to giving his dedication, ideas, and energy to the Troupe this year, while influencing and learning from this year’s chosen auditioners.
Carla Griego - Ms. Griego was happy to have served three years in S-Troupe. She was involved in numerous organizations, including Cibola’s cross country team, the Special Olympics (as a coach), and Operation Smile (with which she just returned from a mission trip to China). Ms. Griego was also Cibola’s current Student Body Vice President. Although being in numerous clubs seems to be her obsession, she loves S-Troupe the most. Ms. Griego was excited for Year Four, but sad that it would be her final year in the Troupe.
Bonnie Hager - Although her S-Troupe career started slowly, she has caught up and is finally into the swing of things. S-Troupe is one of Ms. Hager’s passions, which also include Cibola’s Drama Department, Operation Smile, and musical activities. Ms. Hager enjoys learning new words, rediscovering old ones, and learning the ways of grammar and usage. She knows how to party correctly. S-Troupe for life.
Luke Hanks - Mr. Hanks, or, preferably, Hank, has appreciated S-Troupe from the moment he saw 2005’s Show Without a Name and finally made his own place in S-Troupe. Knowing that Michale Jordan didn’t play basketball until his senior year generated hope in Hank and kept him auditioning for years. Now Hank is grateful to join the ranks of Cibola’s funniest. As a senior, he also occupied his time and mind as an actor in Cibola’s drama department, teacher of the Juggling team, president of MESA (science team), and a member of the speech and debate team.
Stefan Isenberger - Mr. Isenberger was excited to join S-Troupe as a member of Year Four. He saw his first S-Troupe show during its third year and absolutely loved it. Mr. Isenberger decided at that point he would love to be a member of the Troupe. He is also invlolved with Cibola’s band program. When not busy, Mr. Isenberger enjoys playing music, relaxing, and taming his curly hair. He is ready and excited to make contributions to an awesome Year Four!
Sean Larragoite (Technical Director)
Chloe Mizusawa - Ms. Mizusawa joined the Troupe in its second year. She is best known for sketches like “Wok it Out” and “Godzilla” where she has exlpoited her Asian-ness. Ms. Mizusawa is Cibola’s current Senior Class President and a member of Operation Smile.
Sean Mulle - Mr. Mulle was very happy to have been accepted into S-Troupe Year Four. He discovered his writing talent a year ago in Travis Lytle’s Creative Writing class and has since contributed to a number of written pieces and short films. It is Mr. Mulle’s desire to continually create a copious capacity of comedic content, both for the Troupe and himself. He considered himself a well-adjusted senior and enjoys Old Spice after shave and Harry Potter books.
Rachelle Ray - Ms. Ray has been writing for longer than she can remember. She hoped that she will be able to use her love of words to contribute to S-Troupe’s Year Four, her first (and sadly, since she was a senior, last) in the Troupe. Ms. Ray loves to have fun, laugh, and be silly in general. When not writing, which is incredibly rare, she enjoys reading, dancing, and creating her own adventures.
Logan Romero - Mr. Romero joined S-Troupe’s fourth year as a senior. Mr. Romero’s acting experiences come from classes at UNM and Albuquerque Academy. Aside from S-Troupe, he was also involved in the CHS band and tennis teams. Mr. Romero loves acting and writing and will contribute as much as possible to an amazing year for the Troupe.
Courtney Schmidt
Courtney Schwartz - Ms. Schwartz was extremely excited to be joining S-Troupe for her senior year. She loves to run, dance, and write, and is a member of Cibola’s track and cross-country teams, and the Duke City Stars dance team. Ms. Schwartz describes herself as a friendly person who loves to be on stage and is blonde by choice. She hopes to bring as much to Year Four as she can and always promises a smile.
Sarah Silva - Ms. Silva was extremely thrilled to join S-Troupe in its fourth season during her junior year. After attending S-Troupe Signs Off and falling in love with those gorgeous jackets, she became in inspired to audition for the Troupe. Pocket-sized for your entertainment, this miniature superstar hopes to add a whole bunch of “stuff’ to the Troupe. Ms. Silva feels incredibly blessed to be a part of the fabulous bunch of comedic characters. She plans to do her best and make her mama proud!
Emily Stringer - Ms. Stringer joined S-Troupe’s fourth year as a Cibola junior. She began acting in late 2007 and has loved the theatre since. Ms. Stringer’s new found passion drove her to audition for S-Troupe; making it in made her ecstatic. Ms. Stringer has written two sketches so far and is developing more. This start may be small, but she hopes to strongly develop her comedic career.
Hannah Taylor - Ms. Taylor, currently enrolled at the University of New Mexico, was both proud and honored to say that Year Four was her third year as a member of S-Troupe. She has performed in ten full-length shows withthe group, including S-Troupe’s Greatest Hits, in which three sketches written by Ms. Taylor were performed. In addition to her membership in S-Troupe, Ms. Taylor was the Editor-in-Chief of Cibola’s Golden Word newspaper, Co-president of Cibola’s Operation Smile, and members of both Cibola’s Senate and Youth and Governement organizations.
Bryan Valencia - Mr. Valencia joined S-Troupe’s fourth year as a sophomore at Cibola High School. He is currently ranked number one in his class and is involved in band, wrestling, guitar, and French club. Mr. Valencia is very excited to join the Troupe and looks forward to providing his best possible writing and acting skills. He hopes to learn as much as is physically doable. Mr. Valencia may be small, but he anticipates big contributions in the future.
David Zachek - Mr. Zachek began his S-Troupe experience in 2007, its third year of existence. He is a big fan of sketch and improvised comedy. Mr. Zachek started out in S-Troupe as the quiet kid, but now is a more outgoing, confident person. He was proud to be one of the few, Year Four veteran men.
Cory Zarick - Year Four was Ms. Zarick’s first as an S-Troupe member. She ushered for Year Three’s shows and is now ecstatic to be a part of the Troupe. Ms. Zarick enjoys making people smile and hopes she can achieve making people’s days (and/or lives) by being in S-Troupe. Ms. Zarick boast a 4.0 plus GPA and was a member Cibola’s band, French Club, and Diving team.
