Valencia, Lindsey, and Gomez Get Court Dates

S-Troupe’s Bryan Valencia, McKay Lindsey, and Arianne Gomez have all been elected to Cibola High School’s 2010 Homecoming Court. The elections were the prelude to a week of homecoming festivities that officially kick off September 6. Valencia, Lindsey, and Gomez join the company of eleven other S-Troupers to be elected to Cibola’s court since the Troupe’s inception in 2005.

Boot Camp Kicks Off Year Six

S-Troupers gathered Saturday, August 28 to start off the Troupe’s sixth year in proper fashion. Member introductions, sketch pitches, and improvisational and performance games let the Troupe show off its creative muscle while indoctrinating new members into the world of S. 23 members, including S-Alumni, veterans, and newbs, attended the three-hour event that put the Troupe on its way to its October 17th show.

Boot Camp V Scheduled for August 28

S-Troupe’s fifth annual team-building and year-kick-starting Boot Camp is scheduled for Saturday, August 28. This yearly event lets S-Troupe’s newest members strut their stuff while beginning preparations for their debut show. Veteran and Alumni Troupers will also be in attendance, along with the Troupe’s novices, to partake in improv games, writing exercises, and much more. Preparation for Show 17 Begins Soon!

With classes at Cibola High School starting up again on August 18, S-Troupe’s sixth cast will begin work on its first show of the new school year, S-Troupe’s 17th show overall. S-Troupe Shoots Some Shorts

Members of S-Troupe, past and present, are taking part in S-Troupe’s Third (Sort of) Annual Short Shoot and Screen this weekend. The (sort of) annual event has teams of Troupers writing and shooting five to ten minute short films that will be screened at the end of a 24-hour period that began at 7pm, May 28. Jessica Barajas, Joey Barajas, Christian Bourque, Aaron Bullock, Lauren Carrica, Thomas Dameron, Ari Gomez, Patrick Gozur, Holly Hansen, Stefan Isenberger, Adam Parker, Kassy Robles, Evan Rochford, Logan Romero, Antonio Sanchez, Sarah Silva, Emily Stringer, Andy Sutliff, Paul Thompson, Bryan Valencia, and Cory Zarick are pooling their creative talents for four short films. S-Troupe wishes a hearty congratulations to its 14, Year Five members who graduated from Cibola High School during May 17th’s commencement ceremonies. Austen Allen-Griego, Jessica Barajas, Joey Barajas, Logan Disch, Jordan Geisling, Patrick Gozur, Bonnie Hager, Rylie Hightower, Stefan Isenberger, Antonio Sanchez, Kristen Shimanek, Sarah Silva, Emily Stringer, and Cory Zarick received their diplomas, becoming both Cibola High School and S-Troupe Alumni. Best of luck to all of our outstanding graduates and the entire CHS class of 2010!

S-Troupe Honors its Own

Congratulations to the following Year Five S-Troupers who took home letters, bars, or honor cords from Friday, May 7’s Fifth Annual S-Troupe banquet: Jessica Barajas, Joey Barajas, Patrick Gozur, Bonnie Hager, Rylie Hightower, Stefan Isenberger, Bailey Lindsey, McKay Lindsey, Antonio Sanchez, Kristen Shimanek, Emily Stringer, Paul Thompson, Bryan Valencia, and Cory Zarick. Hager, Stringer, Valencia, and Zarick received bars for lettering in consecutive years, while Gozur recieved a second bar for lettering three years in a row. Letters and bars honor those who have both excelled academically and dedicated outstanding service to S-Troupe over the course of the year.

Gozur, Hager, and Zarick also received honor cords, rewarding consistent academic excellence and production in the Troupe over the course of multiple years.

May 13th’s Senior Honors Assembly at Cibola High School saw five, S-Troupe seniors honored for excellence in various departments across the school. Voted on by faculty members, these coveted awards are presented to students who represent academic departments with the utmost excellence.

Jessica Barajas, Logan Disch, and Patrick Gozur received awards from the social studies department. Student senate recognized Patrick Gozur, while the math department honored Stefan Isenberger. Antonio Sanchez received the 17th Annual Bookworks award from the language arts department.

Congratulations to these five honored Troupers and all of S-Troupe’s graduating seniors.

Barajas, Isenberger, and Sanchez named Pumas de Oro

S-Troupe’s Jessica Barajas, Stefan Isenberger, and Antonio Sanchez were awarded the Puma de Oro at May 13’s Senior Honors Assembly at Cibola High School. The award, annually given to nearly 15 graduating seniors for excellence in the classroom, extracurricular activities, and school community, is intended to recognize deserving seniors whose accomplishments may not have already been trumpeted over the course of the school year. The three Troupers join the ranks of S-Troupe’s previous Puma de Oro recipients , Rustyn Brandt, Shelton Caldwell, Hannah Taylor, Amy Bourque, and Michelle Dyer.

Isenberger: Top Ten for 2010

S-Troupe congratulates its very own Stefan Isenberger on four years of academic excellence leading up to placement among the ten highest GPAs of Cibola’s class of 2010. With final grades for graduationg seniors being certified this week, Isenberger’s place in the top ten was cemented as a testament to his scholastic achivement.

Year Five Box Office Manager, Gianna May, is also a member of this year’s top ten and receives the Troupe’s applause as well!
